Today's Interview: Corpseladder -

Why did you choose this username?

It's an attempt at a mockery of capitalism (even though nobody gets it C=). I see capitalism as the process of benifiting over others failures. For example in it's most brutal form it would be the process of using the corpses of the fallen to climb up the economic ladder for personal gain. CorpseLadder is an abbreviation of sorts for it.

You say that this is actually your 4th on-line diary - and that this particular incarnation is a focal point for proclaiming your beliefs. What makes your beliefs so special that they demanded a diary of their own?

Nothing does. Nobodie's opinion is more valid then anyone elses. But if you fail to express yours then it's the same as not having any. I personally have MANY beliefs and I want to express them and maybe further along someones thinking, or at least make them see it from a different perspective. I have never and will never proclaim to be a genius, or someone of higher stature then anyone else, I think I'm the same as any other person I see on the street. I perceive things off skew of the natural viewpoint and want to express those views. That's all.

How important do you think a layout is for a web-based diary? Would you also comment on yours?

I don't think it is at all. I made mine so that the words were the focal point and then I joined the Oligarchrist home jouran (the picture link on the left side) and wanted to pimp it out, if you will. I think people who worry about the aesthetics of their diary are trying to make up for lack of content. The true beauty of anything written are the words itself, not the layout.

Your writing appears to be geared towards shock-value. Is this a natural part of your thought process, or an intentional effort to gain and retain readers?

There are two answers to this, which both conflict with one another, but are true...

I don't go for shock value. I talk about subjects that just aren't brought to public view a lot, and if are are watered down to keep from offending anyone.I just try to show people what I feel and how I think about things. If it comes of shocking then fine.

I go for shock value. Some entries are put there purposely to insight feelings of rage. I find that when you piss someone off enough, or freak them out they are more willing to listen to what you have to say. Shock value in the sense of howard stern yelling 'cock' on the radio, no. shock value in the sense of bringing something to your attention you'd much rather not see, hear, or know about. Yes. I personally don't think anything I say is shocking alone. But when put with the topic or viewed in a certain light become shocking. The entry about the childs house being bombed and running trough a heard of confused people was meant for shock. Nothing I have ever read has worded it that way in first person perspective. And there's a line in there that says 'your time would be better spent whacking off a panda bear' was also meant for shock to enhance the futility of it (duh).

You make anti-capitalist comments, and only moments later, discuss internal US politics whilst apparently supporting George Bush jr. Your views seem hard to pin down. What would you describe yourself as, politically speaking?

I'm a democratic-socialist, or marxist, however you want to call it. And while I don't believe George Bush Jr. should have ever run, nor Al Gore. I do believe he won fairly, and that all this negative criticism towards him is unfounded and wrong. I hate it when people make fun of something for the mere enjoyment of making fun of it. I hear people saying that GB Jr. isn't their president when in all actuality he is. And rightfully so. I've heard one person justify the claim by saying she diodn't vote for him so it's not her president. How many people didn't vote for Bill Clinton? How many people didn't vote for Nixon? But was there huge propighandi going around saying that he wasn't their president? No, well.. not to this extent. People seem to negate the facts that all claims of 'racial barring' from voting booths was investigated and found to be false.

Since this is your view on sex, how do you feel about open relationships and polyamorous people?

Open relationships and polyamory are retarded. It's people who can't control their own lives internally attempting to claim some stability through using multiple people. Yes, using. You do not love someone one night and then another the next night. I love sex, it's fucking amazing, but I don't want to sleep with millions of girls when I can be witht he person I love. If anyone has ever actually made love to someone they will know how much better it is.

Who is your hero?

Hitler. It sounds strange but he is. He was able to raise millions of people to do his bidding. I respect and hate the man all at once. First off he controlled minds, basically turned their brains into mush and made them do his work. He was idealogical and stuck do his beliefs, he rarely wavered on any stance and could back it up with actual facts. He was a genius. He also slew millions of innocents with no true just cause. And I hate him for that. I don't wish to aspire to him in the normal 'hero' sense of the world. I just think he's the closest thing to a 'Hero' I have. I'm not racist, I don't believe in almost anything he stood for (and no he wasn't a communist, neither was stalin, just ask me to explain.) but I do respect him.
